GRANT PARK RESIDENCE

The owners of this Grant Park residence commissioned ACID to help them visualize a multi-phase home renovation focused on creating a better connection between the ground floor spaces, and expanding the second-level primary suite to include a walk-in closet and en suite bath.

Reorganizing the kitchen layout and removing the partition wall provides more efficient circulation and allows the client to better utilize the space for storage and cooking. The final design capitalizes on the existing windows, creating an ample and bright communal space.

Sharing the upstairs bathroom with their two kids would not be an ideal long-term solution. By expanding the back of the house, a daylight-filled walk-in closet and primary bathroom can be added, eliminating the current morning-time bathroom congestion and creating a serene space for parental self-care.
