MALIBU MID-CENTURY RANCH

The clients bought this condemned property in Malibu with the intent of restoring it to it’s original charm. A classic ranch, the property had been added onto and otherwise modified outside of any jurisdictional supervision, so the first step for the design team was to assess the current structure and protect viable elements.

After the necessary structural interventions were addressed, a laid-back concept was created. The clients are easy-going surfer types, and using durable, informal materials, this beautiful ranch house was restored to it’s classic storybook stylings.
